Copenhagen Housing Market Sees Record High in Available Apartments

Finding a home in Copenhagen is getting easier as housing choices expand significantly. The number of apartments for sale has reached a multi-year high.

More than 2,000 owner-occupied apartments are now available across Copenhagen Municipality. New figures from housing portal Boligsiden show 2,057 apartments on the market.

This represents a 5.3 percent increase over the past month. Compared to last year, the housing supply jumped by 94.2 percent.

Copenhagen now accounts for 31 percent of all homes for sale nationwide. One year ago, the capital made up only 17 percent of nationwide listings.

Housing supply is growing across the entire Copenhagen Municipality. In eight districts, available apartments have more than doubled since early 2024. District Copenhagen S is among the areas seeing this strong rise. Danish national broadcaster DR reported these latest figures.
