Copenhagen Cancels Mail Delivery Contract With DAO

Copenhagen city will stop its mail deal with DAO by late August. DAO stands for Dansk Avis Omdeling. This step changes how the city sends official mail to residents.

Lord Mayor Sisse Marie Welling announced the news. She said DAO could not guarantee fair pay for delivery workers. Subcontractors did not receive collective agreement wages. The city chose to end the deal to protect labor standards. According to CPH Post, the deal ends in late August.
