Reported home burglaries in Denmark rose by 12 percent in 2026

Reported home burglaries in Denmark have increased by 12 percent this year. Danmarks Statistik recorded 11,351 reported home burglaries in the first nine months of 2026. This is 1,245 more cases than in the same period of 2025. Insurance provider Alm. Brand Group shared the figures in a press release.

The statistics show that burglary continues to affect many households across the country. Britta Bjerregaard serves as claims director at Alm. Brand Group. She stated that seeing over 11,000 cases in nine months is a clear reminder of the problem.
