Copenhagen agrees on 2027 budget with new city projects
City Hall allocated billions of Danish kroner to schools, social services, and city facilities.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Copenhagen has agreed on its municipal budget for 2027. A broad majority at City Hall approved the funding plan. The city will spend billions of Danish kroner on key public sectors. The funds will support local schools and social services. Money will also go toward maintaining municipal buildings.
The budget includes many new projects across Copenhagen. Nørrebro will see reopened rivers. The city will create new car-free areas for residents. Children will get free access to local theatre shows. The municipality will also build better sports facilities. New urban swimming spots will open across the city.
