Copenhagen agrees on 2027 budget with higher parking fees
Copenhagen city council agreed on its 2027 budget with major spending on schools and housing alongside higher parking permit fees.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Living in Copenhagen will bring higher parking fees and more housing next year. Eight political parties agreed on the 2027 municipal budget. Green Left Lord Mayor Sisse Marie Welling led the deal.
Parking permits for electric and hydrogen vehicles will rise to 1,905 Danish kroner. Permits for petrol cars will increase by up to 1,035 Danish kroner. The Conservatives left negotiations over this fee hike.
The city will spend 30 million Danish kroner on cheaper housing. It aims to join 120 to 150 housing associations as a temporary member.
School expansion will receive 1.675 billion Danish kroner. Renovation of public buildings gets 1.138 billion Danish kroner. Social services will receive 1.154 billion Danish kroner.
The budget also funds sports facilities, climate measures, and better cycling options. Money will also go to dementia care and business support, reports The Local.
