The new service expands direct flights between China and Northern Europe. Copenhagen serves as a primary travel hub for people in Sweden. The flight operates with fifth-freedom rights between Copenhagen and Reykjavik. This allows passengers to book the Copenhagen-Reykjavik leg separately.
Air China launched the route as airlines shifted to the 2026–2027 winter flight schedule. The service provides more seats for students, workers, and families in the region. Global Times reported the official launch of the new flight route.
