# Dangdi (当地)

> Dangdi (当地) is a local-life community and content platform for Chinese speakers living abroad. It brings together local news, an editorial magazine, curated local recommendations ("tips"), local events, and a community forum — organized by city and available in Simplified Chinese (zh) and English (en).

The website is a fast, server-rendered mirror of the Dangdi mobile app. On the web, content is read-only; posting, liking, following, and event sign-up happen in the mobile app (currently pre-launch / waitlist). URLs follow the pattern `/{locale}/{city}/{section}`, where `locale` is `zh` or `en` and `city` is a slug such as `copenhagen`.
