Sweden aims to draft 9,000 conscripts across the nation this year. About 5,000 recruits joined during the August intake alone. The national goal is 12,000 conscripts each year by 2035. All 18-year-olds in Sweden must fill out draft forms each year. More than 100,000 youth complete these forms annually.
