The service uses the Northern Sea Route, called the Polar Silk Road. It connects ports in China directly to European destinations. Ships carry electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and consumer goods.
Travel time through the Arctic takes 18 to 25 days. This transit cuts delivery time almost in half. Traditional shipping routes go around the Cape of Good Hope or Suez Canal.
Faster Arctic transit reduces delivery times for Nordic markets. Lower shipping costs directly help consumers and local businesses in Sweden. The news was reported by Nation Thailand.
