World Sailing Championship Brings Free Spectator Event to Central Stockholm

A dedicated Race Village is open at Holger Bloms Plats. It features boat displays, technology exhibits, and local food. Organizers are testing a system called View Regatta. It uses artificial intelligence and 3D graphics to explain race tactics.
The tournament features 96 sailors from 12 nations. Teams include local Swedish brothers Lukas and Fabian Bergman. Finnish siblings Ines and Lucas Karlemo are also competing. The youngest attendee is a one-year-old child with the Japanese team.
The event emphasizes sustainability through waste sorting stations. Purification systems filter lake water into fresh drinking water for visitors. Races start daily at 09:30 AM along the shoreline. This news was reported by World Sailing.
