Sweden Proposes Income Tax Cut Bonus as Corona Cases Drop in Stockholm
Sweden has proposed tax cuts of up to 2,250 kronor for middle and low earners while coronavirus cases in Stockholm drop by nearly 40 percent.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Swedish workers could receive a tax cut of up to 2,250 kronor. The government proposed this tax break for 2021 and 2022. It aims to compensate workers for pandemic costs. Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson called it a corona bonus.
The scheme covers people earning between 60,000 kronor and 500,000 kronor yearly. The Social Democrat and Green government made the proposal with two other parties. These partners are the Centre and Liberal parties. The tax cuts will cost 5 billion kronor per year.
Meanwhile, new coronavirus cases in Stockholm dropped by almost 40 percent last week. Regional health officials reported 3,393 new cases in the region. Nationally, new cases fell by more than 30 percent. Over 43 percent of Swedish adults have received their first vaccine dose. Nearly 15 percent have received both doses.
Sweden now recommends Covid vaccines during pregnancy after the 12th week. Major summer road works are also planned across Sweden. The E4 road will see heavy work north of Umeå. (Source: The Local)
