Sweden begins issuing voting cards for upcoming election
Sweden has started sending out voting cards for the September 13th election. Voters do not need a physical card to vote, as a valid ID is sufficient.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Sweden has started sending out voting cards for the September 13th election. Eligible voters in Sweden will receive their cards automatically. The Local reported that card distribution began recently across the country.
Voters with a digital mailbox get their cards digitally for the first time. Digital distribution started on August 15th for about 6.5 million voters. Paper cards are being mailed out starting August 17th to 2.1 million voters. All paper voting cards should arrive before early voting starts on August 26th.
You do not need to bring a physical voting card to cast your vote. Showing a valid ID is enough when voting early or on election day. Swedes living abroad could vote by post starting July 30th. Voting at embassies, consulates, and select Ikea stores opens on August 20th.
