German President Steinmeier to Visit China in October

Germany's diplomatic relations with China set the tone for China-EU cooperation. This official state visit may influence European business and research environments. German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier will visit China from October 27 to 31.

Chinese President Xi Jinping invited President Steinmeier to visit. This is Steinmeier's first trip to China in nearly eight years. He will hold official talks with President Xi in Beijing. He will also meet Premier Li Qiang and NPC Chairman Zhao Leji.

The visit will cover sites in Beijing and Anhui Province. Steinmeier will inspect Volkswagen's innovation facilities in Hefei. He will also deliver a keynote speech at Peking University.
