Underage Buyers Purchased Alcohol in One-Third of Danish Checks
Danish stores failed more than one in three underage alcohol checks conducted by authorities.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Danish stores frequently fail checks for selling alcohol to underage buyers. You should expect stricter ID checks at local shops as authorities monitor sales.
The Safety Technology Authority conducted inspections using underage test buyers. The trial period ran from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2026. Young buyers carried out 3,622 total inspections. These checks also monitored sales of nicotine and tobacco products.
Inspectors carried out 1,389 alcohol-related checks across Denmark. Underage test buyers successfully bought alcohol in 483 checks. Stores violated age rules in more than one out of three inspections. (Source: The Copenhagen Post)
