Train from Copenhagen Cancelled After Smoke Evacuation on Funen

A train travelling from Copenhagen to Odense was cancelled on Sunday afternoon. Passengers were evacuated after smoke developed inside the carriages. Up to 200 passengers were evacuated on Funen.

Passengers first smelled something burning during the journey. Staff asked everyone to move to the rear carriages. The train soon stopped at Langeskov Station. All passengers were told to leave the train.

The train service was completely cancelled after the evacuation. The issue created travel problems for many football fans on board. They were travelling to watch FCK play against OB in Bolbro. This story was reported by Danish public broadcaster DR.
