Stena Line Orders Two China-Built Hybrid Ferries for Denmark–Sweden Route
Stena Line has ordered two hybrid ferries for the Frederikshavn–Gothenburg route, set to enter service in 2030 and built at a shipyard in China.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Ferry operator Stena Line has ordered two new hybrid ships. The ships will link Denmark and Sweden starting in 2030. They will run on the route from Frederikshavn to Gothenburg. Danish news outlet CPH Post reported the company news on Wednesday.
A ship yard in China will build both E-Flexer vessels. Each ship can carry up to 1,500 passengers at a time. The new ferries will run on power and fuel. They will turn fully electric once land charging is ready. Stena Line chief Niclas Mårtensson called it a key investment. He said the plan cuts CO2 and meets future green rules.
