Silkeborg Named Host City for 2027 Royal Run

Silkeborg will host a Royal Run route in 2027 for the first time.

The Sports Confederation of Denmark and DGI announced the news in a press release.

Silkeborg Mayor Helle Gade expressed great joy over the selection of her city.

She looks forward to welcoming a public party in running shoes in Silkeborg.

Organizers will reveal the remaining four host cities for next year's event this week.

The Royal Run takes place on the second Whit Monday, May 17.

Last year, the race took place in five locations across Denmark.

Those cities were Randers, Ringkøbing, Middelfart, Helsingør, and Copenhagen with Frederiksberg.
