Scandic and Hilton Partner to Open New Airport Hotel in Copenhagen

Travel options near Copenhagen Airport will expand with a major new hotel project. Scandic Hotels Group and Hilton have signed a strategic Nordic agreement.

Under the deal, Scandic will open a 284-room Hilton Hotels property at Scanport. The hotel sits right next to Copenhagen Airport.

It is expected to open in 2029 after pending conditions are met. Scandic will operate the property under a franchise agreement with Hilton.

The property will feature dining, event spaces, wellness facilities, and a gym. An executive lounge will overlook the Öresund Strait.

The partnership covers Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland. Both hotel groups will later announce shared loyalty benefits for members.

The two companies have worked together for over two decades. Scandic already operates three Hilton hotels in Helsinki.

Scandic announced the agreement in a corporate press release. Denmark recorded nearly 68 million guest nights in 2025.
