The airport expects around 1.1 million passengers during autumn break. The busy school holiday period starts on 9 October. Peak days will see over 115,000 daily travelers. London is the top city destination for autumn trips. Spain, Italy, and France lead southern European travel.
This rush follows a record-breaking September at the airport. The hub handled 3.2 million passengers last month. That marks a 4 percent increase from last year. Increased transfer traffic drove this strong passenger growth.
