Outdoor shelter bookings rise in Denmark

Danes are spending more nights in nature shelters across the country.

The Danish Nature Agency reported a big rise in bookings.

Last year, people booked around 37,000 overnight stays in agency shelters.

That is a 23 percent increase from the previous year.

The strong interest in outdoor shelters continues this year as well.

In the first six months, people booked 14,000 overnight stays.

This represents a growth of almost 17 percent compared to last year.

The agency shared these figures in a recent press release.
