New Storstrøm Bridge Rail Traffic to Open Early
Trains will run across the new Storstrøm Bridge from December 13, 2026, ahead of schedule.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Train travel between Zealand and Falster will open earlier than planned. DSB now plans to run trains across the new Storstrøm Bridge starting December 13, 2026. The bridge is officially named Dronning Margrethe II’s Bridge.
Previously, trains were expected to start running in early 2027. The rail operator moved the date forward to late 2026. Rail traffic will initially open on a single track. This update was reported by The Copenhagen Post.
