New Indoor Pickleball Arena Opens in Copenhagen's Nordhavn
A new dedicated indoor pickleball arena opens at Tunnel Arena in Nordhavn on October 17, offering cheap court access during winter.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Copenhagen residents have a new indoor sports option for the cold winter. A new pickleball arena opens in Nordhavn on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Tunnel Arena has six new courts inside the old Tunnelfabrikken hall. The place gives local people and families a cheap way to exercise.
The club Danske Pickleballers built it to meet high demand. They host games in both Danish and English for all players. The hall once made tunnel parts for the Øresund link in the 1990s. Club founder Joachim Litman found the sport in New York in 2024. He liked the low cost and friendly group feel.
He set up the club with two friends in public parks. The group now has more than 100 members in the city. The opening event is at Oceanvej 1 in Nordhavn. It runs from 11:00 to 20:00 on Saturday, October 17.
Entry is 25 Danish kroner with paddles and balls included. The ribbon ceremony starts at 13:00. Coaches offer free help at 13:45 with no skill required. Top Danish players play a match at 16:30. A social game with a DJ starts at 17:15. CPH Post reports that anyone can join alone or with friends.
