/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Music lovers in Copenhagen can attend an official Leonard Cohen tribute concert in 2027. Adam Cohen will honor his father at Falkonersalen in Frederiksberg on February 11, 2027. The concert is titled “Everybody Knows Leonard Cohen.” It marks the 60th anniversary of his debut album, “Songs of Leonard Cohen.” That album introduced famous tracks like “Suzanne” and “So Long, Marianne.” Event organizer All Things Live Denmark announced the show in a press release.
This tour is the first official tribute by Cohen’s family since 2017. The 2017 memorial concert took place in Montreal. That event featured artists like Lana Del Rey, Feist, and The Lumineers. The Frederiksberg concert will combine live music with archival photos and film footage. These materials document the life and career of the Canadian singer-songwriter.
Leonard Cohen died on November 7, 2016, at age 82. He made music until shortly before his death. He left behind his son Adam and daughter Lorca. His famous songs include “Hallelujah,” “I’m Your Man,” and “Famous Blue Raincoat.” Danish musicians have also celebrated his work. In 2004, several artists released a Danish tribute album named “På danske læber.” Tina Dickow and Steffen Brandt sang a Danish version of “Hallelujah.” Povl Dissing recorded “Bird on the Wire” as “Fugl på en snor.” Actress Ulla Henningsen performed “Closing Time” as “Lukketid.” Cohen was also a published poet and novelist. News of the show was reported by CPH Post.
