International STEM Researchers and Students Connect at Copenhagen Gathering
A recent embassy event in Copenhagen highlights growing support and networking platforms for foreign STEM researchers building careers in Denmark.

On 4 September 2026, the Philippine Embassy in Copenhagen hosted a special event. The gathering brought together over 20 Filipino scientists, researchers, and university students. Participants represented Danish universities and research institutions across various science fields.
The event was titled Connecting Minds: Filipino Scientists in Denmark. Philippine Ambassador Pablito A. Mendoza spoke at the meeting. He noted that local experience contributes to scientific growth back home. Leah J. Buendia joined the gathering online from the Philippine Department of Science and Technology. She introduced the Balik Scientist Program for experts working abroad.
Ludwig Aguilar also shared his career experience in the Danish innovation environment. He is a senior research and development engineer at Danish drugmaker Novo Nordisk. Aguilar also founded the Philippine company Byco.
