Illegal Toxic PFAS Chemicals Found in Danish Sports Tape
A test by Forbrugerrådet Tænk found illegal toxic chemicals in eight sports tape products sold in Denmark.

Eight tapes contained illegal levels of PFAS chemicals. The chemical amounts were far above legal limits. PFAS substances harm human health and the environment.
Most tested tapes came from Danish physical shops and webshops. Three products were bought from online platforms outside the EU. Sports tape supports muscles and joints during physical activity.
The consumer council reported the eight tapes to authorities. The Chemical Inspection under the Environmental Protection Agency handles the case. They check if importers and retailers follow chemical rules. This news was reported by Danish broadcaster DR.
