Greater Copenhagen Light Rail opens full route to Lundtofte
Around 50,000 passengers traveled for free on Saturday as the Greater Copenhagen Light Rail opened its full line.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Commuters in Greater Copenhagen can now travel along the entire new light rail line. The full route runs from Ishøj in the south to Lundtofte in the north. Around 50,000 people rode the light rail for free on opening day this Saturday. The line officially completed its full network expansion.
The southern section with 12 stations first opened in autumn 2025. On Saturday, 17 additional stations opened to connect the entire line. The light rail currently operates every five minutes. This story was reported by Copenhagen Post.
