Greater Copenhagen Light Rail Opens Entire Line This Saturday

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /The full Greater Copenhagen Light Rail route opens this Saturday. Passengers can now travel all the way to Lundtofte Station. The line now connects 29 stations across the capital region. The final 17 stations are officially entering service this weekend. This completion follows years of construction and roadwork across the area.
The light rail opened its first section on October 26, 2025. That initial section covered 12 stations from Ishøj to Rødovre Nord. Now the full line stretches across all 29 stations. A complete journey across the entire route takes up to 68 minutes.
This service offers a direct transit option for local commuters, students, and families. It provides better travel connections across the suburban districts of Copenhagen. According to The Copenhagen Post, the new transit line now faces its first major operational test.
