Gentofte lowers municipal tax rate and plans new sports facilities

Gentofte residents will pay slightly lower municipal income tax next year.

All parties in the municipal council backed a new budget agreement.

The agreement covers the municipal budget for 2027 and 2028.

The municipal tax rate will drop by 0.1 percentage points to 24.04 percent.

This is the third year in a row that Gentofte cuts local taxes.

Higher revenues and efficiency savings of 40 million Danish kroner improved municipal reserves.

The municipality allocated 500 million Danish kroner to expand Gentofte Sports Park.

The project includes building a new public swimming hall.
