Eurozone Inflation Rises to 3.3 Percent in August
Eurozone inflation climbed in August due to higher energy prices. Here is what you need to know.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Eurozone inflation rose sharply to 3.3 percent in August. Higher energy prices drove the increase across the region. In July, annual inflation stood at 2.9 percent. The preliminary estimate comes from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.
Erik Bjørsted is the chief economist at Dansk Metal. He noted the inflation surge in a report by The Copenhagen Post. Rising energy costs remain the main driver behind the recent price jump.
