/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /European regulatory oversight on Chinese investments and business operations is set to increase. The European Commission awarded a four-year contract worth 1.48 million euros to Rhodium Group. Rhodium Group will run an official entity called the China Observatory. This project will track Chinese economic policy shifts affecting trade with Europe. It will also maintain a database on foreign direct investment.
This increased monitoring will affect Chinese investors, entrepreneurs, and workers across Denmark and Sweden. Local business activities in Copenhagen and the broader Nordics face closer policy tracking. The Directorate-General for Trade managed the procurement process for this project. The initiative highlights Europe's focus on monitoring commercial relations with China.
Companies and professionals in the Oresund region face a tighter regulatory environment. Tracking policy shifts will help businesses navigate evolving European market standards. According to the Brussels Times, the monitoring project will run for four years.
