EU Proposes Social Media Ban for Children Under 13
The European Commission plans to introduce age limits and account restrictions on social media for youth across Europe.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Families in Denmark and Sweden may soon see strict social media rules for children. The European Commission will propose new age limits on Thursday. The new plan is called the Kids Act.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced the proposal on Wednesday. She shared the plan during her annual State of the Union address. Under the proposal, social media will be banned for children under 13.
The policy will also restrict personal accounts for youth under 15. Additional restrictions could apply to users up to age 18.
