/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Danish engineering firm Rambøll is cutting 400 management jobs by late November. The move shows tightening corporate budgets for skilled workers and managers in Denmark.
The company wants to simplify its structure and make decisions faster. Growth made the organization too complex to navigate easily. Chief Executive Christian Jensby said internal decisions currently take too long. Responsibilities across teams are also not clear enough.
Rambøll plans to cut unnecessary tasks and internal processes. It employs about 18,000 people globally and 4,000 in Denmark. The company did not state how many Danish jobs will go. There will also be voluntary departures during this period.
The firm may later streamline jobs below the management level. Jensby became chief executive on May 1 after leading Deloitte Denmark. Founded in 1945, Rambøll works in construction, energy, transport, and management. The Rambøll Foundation owns 98 percent of the company.
