Eastern Denmark Hospitals to Share Medical Scans Instantly

Hospitals in eastern Denmark will soon share medical images instantly across all facilities. This change follows the creation of the new region, Region Østdanmark. The new region merged the Capital Region and Region Zealand. It will speed up medical diagnoses for residents in Greater Copenhagen and nearby areas.

Healthcare authorities signed a contract to expand a cloud imaging system called Sectra One. The platform will cover every hospital in the new eastern region. Doctors can view patient scans immediately, regardless of where the examination occurred. This makes medical records seamless when patients visit different regional facilities.
