/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /New weather prediction models will soon help Denmark prepare for extreme rainfall. Researchers at Technical University of Denmark received 4.44 million Danish kroner. The funding comes from the Villum Synergy programme. This project aims to strengthen municipal flood planning across the country.
The research team will build advanced statistical models for heavy rain. These models will make weather forecasting more accurate during extreme storms. Local municipalities can use this data to improve climate adaptation strategies. Better forecasts will help protect local infrastructure and daily commutes from flooding. This report was published by Technical University of Denmark.
