Denmark to Force Telecoms to Block Foreign Spoofed Scam Calls

Danish telecom companies will soon have to block fake phone calls coming from abroad.

The Agency for Digital Government announced the plan on its website.

The number of foreign scam calls pretending to be local has grown recently.

The proposed executive order has now been sent out for public consultation.

Authorities expect the new anti-spoofing rules to take effect on January 1, 2027.
