/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Denmark is moving forward with its major green hydrogen pipeline project. Danish energy companies have reserved over 500 megawatts of capacity. This milestone fulfills a key parliamentary requirement for construction.
Danish firms Everfuel, CIP, and European Energy signed supply contracts with Germany. They will deliver green hydrogen to heavy German industries. The companies will receive 10 billion Danish kroner in German state support. This support spans over a ten-year period. In return, the firms provided 800 million Danish kroner in bank guarantees.
The planned pipeline will stretch 133 kilometres from Esbjerg to the German border. It will run through Vejen to reach Germany. German partners will extend the line to industrial users further south. Danish wind and solar power will generate the hydrogen. This effort supports European energy security and climate goals.
The project opens long-term career and research opportunities in Denmark. It strengthens Denmark's green tech sector. Energy infrastructure developer Energinet can begin construction once final contracts are signed by 2028. (Source: Hydrogen Europe)
