/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Parents in Denmark may soon see mobile phones banned in schools. The Danish government wants a total ban on private screens. This plan covers classrooms and school playgrounds. It applies to all public and independent primary and lower secondary schools.
Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen announced the proposal on Thursday. The announcement came two days after new PISA test results appeared. Danish 15-year-olds recorded record-low scores in the assessment. The proposed rules affect all folkeskoler before students enter gymnasium or technical school.
This measure aims to improve focus in classrooms across the country. The Copenhagen Post reported the announcement this week.
