Denmark Plans Lower Salary Minimum for New Work Permit Scheme

Foreign job seekers in Denmark may soon qualify for work permits much more easily. Denmark is introducing a new work permit scheme starting next year. The scheme will lower the required annual salary to 322,000 Danish kroner. This equals 26,833 Danish kroner per month.

The new minimum is much lower than the standard Pay Limit Scheme requirement. This collective agreement-based scheme will apply to eligible applicants from 16 non-EU countries. The change offers new chances for foreign workers, graduates, and job seekers in Denmark. According to The Local, the government plans to launch the rules next year.
