Denmark Needs 27,000 Plasma Donors to Reduce US Reliance
Denmark aims to become self-sufficient in plasma by recruiting 27,000 new donors through a national health initiative.

Plasma is vital for hospital care. Doctors use it for patients suffering from major blood loss. It is also used to make medicine for cancer and immune system diseases.
To reach this goal, health partners launched a new initiative named Plasmastyrken. The initiative is organized by Blood Donors Denmark and the Ministry of Health, reported Copenhagen Post.
