Denmark Makes Hiring From 16 Countries Easier

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Denmark will soon make it easier for local companies to hire foreign workers. The Danish Parliament has passed a new work permit bill. This new scheme is set to take effect on January 1, 2027. It applies to certified companies hiring staff from 16 selected countries.
Under the law, businesses can recruit employees at a lower salary threshold. The rule still requires collective agreements to protect local working conditions. Trade unions will maintain oversight over employment standards across Denmark. The Parliament passed the proposal after its third reading on Thursday.
