/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Heating bills in Denmark will increase for many residents next year. Ten heating companies already announced price hikes between six and ten percent. In Præstø, southern Zealand, prices could jump by 40 percent. Rising prices for gas, oil, electricity, and biofuels drive these costs up. More companies may announce higher fees in the coming months.
Weather during this autumn holiday week will bring both sun and frost. Meteorologist Kasper Bonde Niebe from DMI shared the latest weather forecast. Frost is expected across the country on Monday night. Residents should move tender balcony and garden plants indoors tonight. Temperatures will rise starting Tuesday and may reach 17 degrees on Thursday. Heavy rain will arrive on Friday, so indoor plans are recommended.
Living costs rose slightly in September according to Statistics Denmark. Year-on-year inflation reached 2.2 percent, up from 2.0 percent in August. Statistics Denmark linked this increase to rising fuel prices in transport.
More Danish businesses are joining a public emergency support scheme called Virksomhedsberedskabet. Member organizations grew from 63 to 223 in less than ten months. Director Maja Broløs said participating companies now employ 350,000 workers. Brands like SATS, BabySam, and IKEA offer emergency shelter and supplies. The scheme aims to reach 1,000 members by 2029.
