Denmark Details New Lower Salary Work Permit Scheme for 2027
Denmark's immigration agency SIRI has published guidelines for a new work permit scheme starting in 2027, offering a lower salary floor for eligible foreign workers.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Denmark is lowering the salary threshold for certain foreign workers starting January 1, 2027. The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration published updated guidance for the new Collective Agreement Scheme. Certified employers can hire non-EU workers at a reduced salary floor of 322,000 Danish kroner per year. Positions must be covered by approved collective bargaining agreements.
China is explicitly included among 16 eligible non-EU nations under the new rules. Employer certification applications are expected to open in early December 2026. This scheme lowers the earnings requirement compared to the standard Pay Limit Scheme.
