Denmark Advances Vaccines and Reopens Norway Ferry Link

Denmark moved its COVID-19 vaccination timeline forward by two weeks. Authorities aim to fully vaccinate all willing residents by August 29. Residents aged 30 to 34 will receive invite letters in e-Boks soon. Children aged 12 to 15 will get invitations starting July 19. Children under 16 are exempt from showing a Coronapas starting July 2.

Travel and testing rules in Denmark are also undergoing updates. Rapid tests from Falck and Copenhagen Medical do not count for EU certificates. Rapid tests performed by Carelink are valid for the EU certificate. Health officials advise travelers to get a PCR test instead. PCR test appointments are no longer required as of July 1.

Ferry service between Denmark and Norway has officially resumed. Shipping firm DFDS restarted its route after a six-month pause. Ferries leave Nordhavn for Oslo with a stop in Frederikshavn. Danish Shipping chief Anne H. Steffensen praised the route reopening. This news was reported by local outlet The Local.
