The new area is called Region East Denmark. The merge affects 2.8 million residents. Local leaders confirmed old yellow cards will remain valid. This decision saves 30.2 million Danish kroner. You will only get a new card if you move or change doctors. Old cards will be replaced gradually over five years. The digital health card app will update automatically.
