Danish Moderates proposal could end use of school app Aula
The governing Moderate Party in Denmark wants to abolish the widely used school communication app Aula.

/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Parents in Denmark may soon stop using the school app Aula. The governing Moderate Party wants to abolish the communication platform.
Tax and Growth Minister Jakob Engel-Schmidt criticised the app in a joint interview. He said the system takes away too much attention from classrooms and harms learning. Education, Research and Digitalisation Minister Christina Egelund also warned against excessive communication. She noted that users send 10,000 messages every minute between 7:30 and 9:00 am.
Ministers Monika Rubin, Jakob Engel-Schmidt, and Christina Egelund announced the proposal together. They linked the decision to Denmark's recent low PISA scores in reading, maths, and science. The app launched in 2019 for updates between schools, parents, and pupils. The ministers have not suggested a replacement platform yet. (Source: The Local)
