Train drivers now see far more danger at level crossings across Denmark.
In most cases, cyclists and pedestrians crossed despite active warning signals.
They crossed while warning bells were ringing and lights were flashing.
The Danish Civil Aviation and Railway Authority, Trafikstyrelsen, initiated a related survey.
The survey indicates a figure of 21 percent regarding crossing behavior.
