Danish Job Listings Rise in August for First Time Since 2021

Finding a job in Denmark may get easier as the local labor market improves. Job postings on the Danish job site Jobsnet rose last month. This was the first month-on-month August rise since 2021. The total number of listings jumped 15 percent compared to August 2025. The figures were reported by news outlet The Local.

Kristian Skriver is the macroeconomic head at the Danish Chamber of Commerce. He told news wire Ritzau that this positive trend was unexpected. Slower employment growth and high energy prices had weighed on local businesses. However, strong export demand helped create new positions. Many new ads were for transport and warehouse work. Exports to Sweden, Germany, and the UK have all increased recently.

Hiring also grew in the hotel and restaurant industries. Danish consumers have more money from salary hikes and tax breaks. People are spending more despite low overall consumer confidence. Job security in Denmark remains very high right now. Statistics Denmark reports that 3.1 million people were employed in June. That is an increase of 34,000 workers over the past year.
