Danish institutions unite to halve drowning deaths

Danish organisations are launching a joint effort to cut drowning deaths by half. Several key groups are meeting today at The Black Diamond in Copenhagen. They are holding a conference on drowning prevention. The meeting brings together major safety and healthcare groups in Denmark.

The partners include TrygFonden, the Prehospital Center in Region Zealand, and the Danish Resuscitation Council. TrygFonden project manager René Højer spoke about the initiative.
