Danish Consumer Confidence Drops Slightly in September 2026

Danish household confidence fell slightly in September 2026. Households face growing concerns over personal finances and job market stability.

The consumer confidence index dropped to -13.7 in September from -13.1 in August. However, this score remains above the six-month average of -15.7. Statistics Denmark collected the survey data.

Families expressed more worry about their personal finances over the next twelve months. The index for future household finances turned negative at -3.7. In August, that figure was positive 0.4.

Perceptions of the general Danish economy improved slightly. Views on next year's economic outlook reached -19.2, up from -20.6 in August. Willingness to buy major items also became slightly less pessimistic.

Inflation expectations for the coming year climbed to 31.9 from 30.5. Unemployment fears also grew stronger, rising to 19.2 from 15.8.
