/ DANGDI / DANGDI / DANGDI /Danish companies using artificial intelligence are slowing down hiring for entry-level positions. This change mostly affects young job seekers and university graduates in Denmark. A new study by Danmarks Nationalbank confirmed this trend. Employment grows more slowly at AI-adopting firms than at non-AI firms. However, Denmark's overall national employment remains stable for now.
Central bank director Signe Krogstrup noted Denmark has a flexible labor market. Workers displaced by AI might find employment in other sectors. The study showed no negative impact on wages so far. AI adoption is highest in information, communication, real estate, and rental sectors. Large Danish companies lead in using AI compared to European peers.
Danish professional association Djøf warned against cutting too many junior roles. Chair Sara Vergo urged employers to keep hiring and training graduates. She stressed that future senior specialists require early career experience today. The research linked Statistics Denmark data with company-level employment records. CPH Post reported these findings from the central bank analysis.
